• In Cloudy With a Chance of Rain, Patricia Balentine introduces us to beautiful model Lanise, her husband Tyrese, and childhood friend Ayoboni (formerly known as Alvin). This book is part love story, part love triangle, and all together a great read.
  
  Lanise had the decision of a lifetime to make regarding her relationship and I didn't envy her one bit. It was a very hard choice and I honestly don't know what I would have done if it were me. I do know I was practically begging people to tell me the outcome!
  
  Patricia Balentine did an excellent job in telling this story. It was well written with wonderfully developed characters. They were relatable - each having a storyline not unlike what we may experience in our daily lives. They are genuinely decent people with morals and values that make them all the more endearing. It also makes Lanise's situation that much more difficult to be in. I could literally feel the her torment, Tyrese's confliction, and Ayoboni's longing.
  
  I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed!
• I discovered this author during an interactive discussion with other authors in a Facebook book club. A few of us promised to lend support to one another, wherein, I purchased this book. Can I just tell you that the book is marvelous!  Yeah...it's a romance novel, but the author has a sure fire delivery of such that takes you internally within the minds of the characters. It was an earnest and believable view of true love at it's best. I completely enjoyed it and recommend this read to supplement your rainy day pastimes. Great job Patricia!
• Cloudy With a Chance of Rain by Patricia Balentine is an engagingly intense story that is chucked full of realness. This novel follows the life and loves of Lanise Avery as she takes journeys down the "natural" course of her life.
  
  Lanise Avery is a gorgeous, smart, determined and directed young lady who looks like a model. Following her "natural" path and her determination of finding a way to support herself without going to college, she takes a hand at modeling and it takes flight and soars. She meets and later marries Tyrese Langston; Record Producer that business is soaring as well. This is a power couple that is living life to the fullest.
  
  This is until someone, some feelings, and some connections from her past rise up and knocks her flat. She makes choices based on circumstances that have presented themselves that she feels is the best for her or all that she can.
  
  Ms. Balentine penned a novel that is full of successes, happiness, love and the pit falls of life while allowing the humanness to shine through. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and will be on the lookout for more by her.

• This is a great story of over coming and following your heart, Not doing what is right for everyone else but what is right for you in the long run..
  
  Lanise Avery. seems to have it all going for her a great career and wonderful home and husband Tyrese Langston all in that order.. she thought she had all she wanted and needed out of life until something or someone reminders her what she was truly missing out of life. This book is about finding out about yourself and what truly lies in your heart and finding out what really makes you happy. sometimes doing that can make other people unhappy in finding what makes you happy going after whats in your heart. what is great how love can over come anything no matter what you can not deny what is in your heart its all about taking the risk and going after it..I could relate to the main character Lanise felt all her emotions in each page i read.. Great story.. True Love wins all.. over all rating 4.5
• This is a story showing that you can't fool you HEART into believing or accepting what it don't want. I respect the fact that Lanise didn't want to disrespect the vows she took with Ty. This story shows that your heart what it want,no matter how long it takes its going to get IT. It show peple don't be afraid to show,and express the love you feel to the people that are important in your life. This story was well written well,it never waivered from the main point of the story.
• I could not put the book down. This book reminds me of my fantasies when I was a younger woman. But reading it as a older woman allows me to see why younger women get confused about LOVE. This is a very good book to get your 19 yr old daughter or granddaughter.
